NHBSR’s Just One Thing campaign seeks to share simple stories of sustainability initiatives impacting the environment, our communities, and our workplaces. Submissions are eligible to win a coveted finalist position at the Sustainability Slam in November.

Presented at the Sustainability Slam in November.

Program Summary

NHBSR’s Just One Thing campaign helps local businesses share simple stories of sustainability initiatives with positive impact—on the environment, our communities, and our workplaces—and encourages others to take the first step toward a more sustainable future. Stories from organizations of similar size and focus are scored based on scalability and impact.

JOT Finalists, selected by a panel of independent judges, are featured at our Just One Thing Sustainability Slam, where they take to the stage to bring their stories to life in creative, high-energy, 90-second presentations. Attendees vote in real time to select the night’s winners.

Quotes from Participants

A fun way to learn more about different businesses and what they are doing to be more sustainable. Be prepared to network, laugh, and learn new things all while being in an environment with like-minded people when it comes to sustainability.

It is always such a fun and entertaining event to attend in person. Such inspiring stories and initiatives.

A great opportunity to have fun, mingle with sustainable-business movers and shakers, and support the sustainable business movement.
