Overview

Girls at Work, Inc. empowers girls with the tools to overcome adversity and build confidence to face current and future life challenges. Our vision is a world where every girl feels confident and capable. Only a handful of the girls we meet have had the opportunity to learn how to use power tools safely. We pride ourselves in providing girls with a safe and supportive environment to step out of their comfort zone and to build with other girls. Not only do they discover how capable they are, they also discover how exciting it is to work as part of a team toward a common goal, while tapping into their own power in the process. Girls at Work provides private classes for Troops, Organizations, Camps, Birthday Parties, Homeschool Groups, and Bachelorette Parties, with all proceeds supporting the Girls at Work after school program for inner city girls. We also build up women through our evening and weekend Power Build classes, making furniture from repurposed pallet wood. This is a great way for women to ask questions, try tools, and build their confidence within themselves. Corporations, Organizations, Boards, and other unisex groups are pushed in our Team Building exercises that get you to think outside the box and work together to build picnic tables that your group can chose which non-profit you'd like to donate them to.
