Bill Maddocks has been involved in community economic development work since the early nineties most recently at the Carsey School of Public Policy at UNH. He has been active in peace, civil rights, environmental justice, anti-war and labor movement struggles for more than forty-five years. From 2001 to 2019 Bill worked in Sub-Saharan Africa as director of a large micro-savings training program to promote economic empowerment for women at the grassroots level.
In 2019 Bill founded Bill Maddocks Consulting LLC and has worked during the past years as a U.S. Census 2020 Complete Count Consultant for the New Hampshire Funders Forum and coordination of a Vote By Mail campaign for the New Hampshire Democracy Fund for the 2020 election.
Bill serves as the Treasurer for NH Peace Action, works as facilitator and fellow for New Hampshire Listens and serves as a co-facilitator in the NH Endowment for Health’s Race and Equity Series. He is an adjunct professor teaching Organizational Management and Leadership in the UNH Carsey Masters in Community Development Policy and Practice program. Bill is married to Lin Illingworth and is the dog dad of a wonderful rescue dog named Liddy.
