Jay Childs, Owner and Director of JBC Communications in Portsmouth, NH is an Emmy-honored documentary filmmaker and has been producing thoughtful programs and brand films for television and a host of corporate and non-profit clients for more than two decades. His most recent documentary 'Communities & Consequences II' has premiered on both NH and ME PBS. NHPBS is currently hosting virtual screenings of the film, until in-person theater screenings can resume. Previous documentaries, 'FOOD FIGHT - Inside the Battle for Market Basket', 'Communities & Consequences' and 'Caring for Mo', have been broadcast on public television and in theaters, have won numerous awards at festivals in New England and beyond, and have been included in university case studies and forums. Recently, Childs was awarded NH Filmmaker of the Year from the NH Film Festival.
Childs lives in Exeter, NH with his wife Arlene and daughter Sarah.
