Partnerships

New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility is part of an ever-growing network of business membership organizations that focus on corporate social responsibility. Working in partnership with these groups, NHBSR is expanding its capacity to serve its members' business needs and to achieve the mission of NHBSR.

We currently enjoy formal partnerships with:

Business NH Magazine - Breakfast with the Best
Since 1997, Business NH Magazine and NH Businesses for Social Responsibility have recognized businesses, both large and small, that have created outstanding company cultures. Each year, companies across the state submit lengthy applications extolling their benefits, company cultures, training and educational opportunities and their mission statements in the hopes of being named as one of the 10 Best Companies to Work For in NH. Submissions are pared down to 20 semi-finalists and the final 10 are selected by a panel of judges from various business sectors. The Best Companies competition has evolved during the years, adding site tour visits to the semi-finalist round, splitting the competition into large and small company categories in 2000 and establishing an honor roll of companies that have made the list five times. An annual breakfast in February celebrates these companies for being employers of choice and offers attendees an opportunity to learn from their leadership. University of New Hampshire Whittemore School of Business and the UNH Sustainability Academy

Our partnership with the University of New Hampshire Whittemore School of Business and the Sustainability Academy, with corporate sponsorship and leadership from Timberland has resulted in the Institute for Corporate Sustainability.  The Institute, brings together sustainability leaders in the academic field with leading business practitioners to help attendees develop a deeper understanding of sustainability issues and opportunities through structure learning and thoughtful exploration.  Follow-up, self-designed capstone projects allow students to bring their leadership potential back to their business/organizations with guided mentors with expertise within their area of interest.  For more information on the Institute, visit www.sustainabilitycertificate.org.

New Hampshire Charitable Foundation
A community foundation is ... a charity created by and for the people in a local area. These foundations allow local donors to take an organized approach to giving, and to better understand the needs in their region. Of the more than 700 community foundations nationwide, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is among the oldest and largest.

Our fundamental purpose is to improve the well-being of every community we serve. Many community foundations are dedicated to a city or county; our Foundation is one of the few with a statewide span and was one of the first to develop a regional structure. Seven regions tap local leadership and expertise. Both the breadth of vision and deep local knowledge can help you focus your giving where it will have the greatest impact.
